Classic Silver Metallic thread

Mine is nautical blue, but this color was my second choice. Soooo nice! And I hardly ever see them around here.

 

i heavily considered CSM but it's too plain and generic of a color for me.

Agree. I bought mine used, so there wasn't much choice, but I DO like how low maintenance it is. It also looks really nice when freshly washed and wax, the metallic really stands out.

With these, my only deal breaker color is black.

Thats a great looking 4r! Silver is by far my favorite vehicle color. Match it with tinted windows and black wheel and that looks perfect.

 

Yours is the exact one Im waiting for the end of May. I seen a Nautical Blue today TRD ORP with all the right options and almost said yes to purchase. I really like the Silver as first choice and Nautical Blue as my second or maybe 3rd. But when looking in person it's a difficult decision.

 

My first choice was white, but couldn't find one, so went with second choice the silver. I've grown to like it almost better than the white

I will definitely be taking my (silver) 4R to Canyonlands before long, but I'm not ready to thread that tight of a needle.

 

I've owned five 4Runners, first gen white, second gen black, fourth gen silver and salsa red and went back to CSM when we got our first NEW one in 21. The large expanse of silver needed something so I added 3rd gen rear emblems to the doors (I missed my 4th gen door emblems!). And, although I live in VT, I often waterski in NH - hence the graphic on the back! I'd had my two 4th gens for a total of 15 years so the all black/graphite interior felt dark to me - added gray Weathertech mats in the front, in the nice weather I swap in gray carpet (kept the rear and cargo Toyota all season mats - I can't see them from the driver seat .

 

Did you leave the pillar badges on when you put badges on the doors?

 

Love CSM. Hard to see here but after wash and wax metallic flake pops nicely in the sun

 

Mickeyblue - I DID leave the SR5 badge on the pillar. BTW mine's a premium. AND, I forgot to say, added gray seat covers for summer time, less sticky than the (really nice) pleather seat. LOVE the heated power seats and other niceties of the premium (sunroof, etc.). And she still pulls trailer loads of firewood, a big boat and everything else!

SlvrRnnR - as you point out the understated quality of the CSM - shine her up and she glows!

I’ve been thinking of seat covers, those seats can get really mean in the Arizona summer.

Do you have two 4Runners? The reason I ask is my wife has a White TRD OFP and I have a Silver TRD ORP coming by the middle of June so WE will have 2.

 

Yep! I wanted Nautical Blue or Army Green, but the ones on the lot didn’t have what I wanted so I ended up with silver again. I wanted KDSS and wasn’t willing to go without it.

I took mine in for service and my husband came right behind me to pick me up and a salesman out front yells “Great set of bookends!”

 

Still in the works. Have an Eibach Pro Truck Stage 1 to install.
