I went to a shop a while back, and the tech said I needed shocks and struts. I told him to put them on, he called me a few minutes later and said that I had some fancy rollover control system, and it require replacing some accumulators? or something and he said upwards of $3000.
I couldnt afford it, so is there a way to bypass all that crap, and just change shocks and struts?
    TIA

The shop doesn't know the name of the system you have? They just said "some fancy rollover control system, and it require replacing some accumulators". Might be a warning sign not to use that shop. Maybe get the detail estimate and pics of the components that is needed replacing and post that here? Maybe our members can give their experience and advice.

Some pics like this would help -

first off, dont go to a shop that had no clue what suspension you have. You probably have KDSS.

please add your vehicle info in your profile so we know what you have.
