I’m just now exploring the connected services in the Toyota App. I do not see “remote connect” as available. A good friend just got a Rav 4 which has it. Is it true that “remote connect” is not available standard on a 2023 4 Runner ? Seems strange. For connected services I have the Toyota App, safety connect, service connect, wi-if connect, destination assist and rent a Toyota. No remote connect. I did not enable any subscriptions as I didn’t see any that seemed related to remote connect. I’m assuming a Bluetooth connection is all that’s needed. And registering the VIN in the Toyota App, which I have done

I've been meaning to explore this. I'm a little behind on choosing connected services, so I'll be watching responses.

It's true. I spent some time wondering why I didn't have the additional vehicle information in the toyota app for my ORP. Remote Connect was listed with the Service Connect subscription.. or at least I thought I saw it there. When trying to add Remote Connect through the head unit, the message on the screen said it was "not available for my vehicle". There was a phone number in the manual (or maybe I found it on the internet) to call to get an authorization code. Figured that was it since I never got one.

Called the number and was connected to Connected Services. Very friendly and helpul. Told me Remote Connect was not available for the ORP. Internet search says only the Limited and Pro get it.

Wow! I thought it was a feature of the “Entune” Infotainment system. Thanks for the update. I was gonna call the brand engagement center but guess I don’t need to to now.

It’s a feature that’s available with JBL equipped 4Runners only.

Still blows my mind we can’t remote start through the app on an ORP for a fee. I’d pay a lot per month for the feature if it existed! But as it is, I cancelled everything and had the DCM disconnected, too. I’ll hook it all back up if I can remote start through the app! And I’ll pay Toyota some $$$, too!

Install n2 designs remote start. You still do it from the key fob. For some more money you can add the phone module which has some impressive features.
