Does this count as "mall crawling" at a nearby Wally World at sunset?

I really like that Storm Trooper look. :headbang: If mine was white, it would look like that.

I agree! Even though it does seem to be the most common set up I see, I can't help but love it!

Very cool! Did you get a chance to drive Hell's Backbone Road? It starts/ ends in Escalante, depending on which direction you are heading on Hwy 12. The road has been on my bucket list for years now, but the timing as I pass by never seems right. I gave it a shot a few months back, but the snow was way too deep still.

I have not driven Hell’s Backbone yet. That’s on the list for the next trip.

I’ve done the Burr Trail and the road out to the Strike Valley overlook. Great scenery.

View from the bridge that these days makes up the "Backbone". Check out how that pine tree on the left has split that rock outcropping!

Day trip: Getting dirty between Idaho Springs to Central City, CO. Overcast rainy and muddy but what an amazing day to spend 5hrs exploring. Took me an hour at the car wash it get all that mud off inside and out.

All over Utah. By far the wettest I've ever seen it in May. Blew a tire, drove in lake Powell, got dirty and had a blast! Interesting to see how much more water there was in Powell in 2016 than in your current pic.

Went car camping with a friend who has a fancy Mercedes SUV. I was really impressed with the air suspension and how it handled in a fairly nasty rutted dirt road but the 4R didn’t sweat even a a little bit compared to the Mercedes.
I was glad he was able to follow me so we could be away from the very crowded campgrounds at the beginning of the trail. It was very peaceful where we were in the woods a couple miles further

I did envy his panoramic sunroof though

Having jumped and ferried in a number of them (UH-60 Blackhawk), it's nice to see old friends (and Guardian Angels) over an undisclosed area in the Arizona desert. HOOAH!IMG_9379.HEIC.jpg

Dumb question pardon the ignorance. For the guys with the tents that go on the roof how much weight does the roof hold? I am thinking I am 185lb just myself which seems like a lot for the roof? I assume you guys sleep up there in case any bears come around?

Sorry for dumb question city not with 4R for fishing and boating here not typical user I guess. Love these scenic pics though I am missing out

If you search around you'll find a couple threads on this on here already. I don't have first hand experience (yet) but have done a lot of research. Some questions you'll want to answer is will it always be just you or is there a chance you'll have one or two more? Do you want to be able to store things? Do you have a full rack on your car or just the standard bars? You'll then want to research racks to find which of those fits your needs given what the needs of both the tent and rack are. Lots of things to consider but there are a lot of resources out there to find your answers. Feel free to message me if you want to chat about it.

Took a trip to Ruidoso, NM which is 500 miles for me. This is first road trip I have taken on suspension upgrade with Elka's. They rode great handled interstate smooth and trails. Fully loaded down with gear and weight I was able to manage the gear hunting holding 80mph on interstate.

Crazy right? It almost looked more like a river system than a lake in places.
