    Hey y'all,

So I bought a 97 4Runner in Mexico. It's a beast and runs great. But the parking break doesn't work, and it would be nice if it did (not for off roading but for normal stuff like stopping and hopping out without having to turn the car off in gear).

My mechanic here is trying to find the parts, but doesn't know what the specific mechanism / hardware is actually called.

In the picture, I need the whole mechanism in the red circle. In the green circle, mine just has a bolt, and not a sealed pin.

Anyone know what this mechanism is called and where I might find a replacement?

    Thanks!

I tried looking in the diagrams in PARTSOUQ.com but did not see it. You may need to take that picture into the dealer and hope the parts guy and sus it out of his diagrams. They are often able to. Get the part number. I have never had them mad at me if I don't buy the part.

Or a junk yard will be your next best bet.
