Recently a non driver in my apartment complex's parking lot decided my mirror needed replacing, and knocked it off. So kind of them, right? Anyway, it was a non heated mirror. Can you replace it with a heated mirror? More so, is the wiring already plumed? 2016 4Runner Trail

For all I know, it was already heated. I got this thing like 3 months ago. I haven't been bold enough to rip and tear it all apart yet.

    Thanks!

If you decide you want mirrors with turn signals in them, you can do with a conversion harness from @Old Red

Nice to know KTJO4x4 is still infringing on my IP... I guess every original eventually has a cheap made in china knock off lol.

The main reason I pulled my all stuff from the forums was directly due to her ripping off my design. She has a track record of rather questionable business practices and is no doubt why she is banned from virtually all the Toyota Forums.

People can choose to purchase whatever from whomever they wish, but when you end up supporting businesses and individuals who directly copy others work to make a quick buck without the time, effort, and R&D put in to actually develop something, it just makes people who actually put in the time to design and make things the correct way with quality and care not want to contribute further. Just my 0.02.

@Old Red well if that’s a knock off I don’t want it. I’m new on here if you got the good original product, I’ll take yours over someone that copied your design.

With all due respect, did you patent your design? Highly suggest filing a patent for any new design to avoid that happening to you in the future. Appreciate you Old Red.

@raimieb, I have taken steps to protect my stuff, alongside documenting the entire process from conception of idea, to each prototype phase, to the final design, as well as improvements I make along the way. If that's not enough, there's plenty of documentation that I have saved showing (by their own admission) they were well aware of my product and went ahead and directly copied it after the fact anyway, even after being called out for attempting to do so more than two years ago. It's a pattern with them (Not just with my stuff, but others IP, trademarks, etc. as well), and my patience has just about run out.

Hey, no worries at all! I'm glad you posted it, otherwise I wouldn't have known that this was still going on and an issue that I needed to address.

I understand. However, unless you file a patent with the government, then your work is not protected. There’s a process like this to protect hard workers and great thinkers like you. The rest of the info you provided is sadly irrelevant unless you have a patent or copyright. If you do have one, then file a complaint against them and take her to court.
If not, I’m not sure complaining on forums is of any service to you.
I’m on your side here. Just being clear.

I have a new mirror (non-blinker design) for you. Let me know if you still need one and I'll make you a sweet deal.
