I have a 23 TRD Off Road... it has LED fog lights, but I am wanting brighter amber colored ones. See a lot of positive reviews of the Morimoto 4bangger HXB and Diode Dynamicts ss3 Max. They both seem to be around the same expensive price. From the YouTubes, it seems like the Morimotos are brighter.. but wanted to get some realworld feedback from folks that might have seen both in the wild?

Also, if I make the switch, I will have practically brand new OEM LED fog lights... is there a market for these (if so how much)? Would these fit on older 4runners that have incandencent fog lights?

Thank you for all your wisdom and support! :)

    1) I'm sure someone will want them. I got them for my Runner as driving lights. As far as I know they mount the same as the halogen units.

    2) Don't be that guy that runs the yellows all the time. I got the LEDs so I can still have AUX lighting on to light up the area directly in front of the bumper. I'll run read fogs behind the grill.

Having spent a solid amount of time with both products the SS3 Max is the superior product in a true fog application. It does exactly what a SAE Fog light should do. Have great intensity, width, and color temperature. The 4Bangers are impressive given the fact that they utilize 3 LED chips and a slightly smaller form factor, but they are not as wide of a beam as the SS3 max.

Here's some detailed technical analysis on the competing products if you're so inclined! This also is as close to non-biased as you'll get.

And lastly, I'll throw our hat in the ring here at Hotshot Offroad. We've a lot of experience with all of these brands, and would be happy to earn your business if we can! If you've got more questions, ask away!

Since you're talking about price, the entry level fog lights from Diode Dynamics, the Sport model, are very good. They're priced well below their other 2 models and anything from Baja or Morimoto. I have them in yellow paired with Morimoto headlights. They do an amazing job of illuminating the areas to each side of the road and bends in the road ahead.
