Bottoming out…

Hi Everyone!

Great to be here and thanks ahead of time for any advice.

I replaced my rear shocks with OEM and also my rear coils but I still am experiencing bottoming out even over minor potholes/divots in the road.

Does anyone have ideas on what I should replace next?

This is for my daughter’s 2000 4WD…

How the rest of the suspension and body look?

 

I’m sure all the sway bushings could be replaced since I’m pretty sure the are original. Just don’t understand why it would still be so jarring after what I have already replaced.

The body is clean. Could the front suspension contribute to bottoming out?

I'm just assuming but I think something may be physically broken in the rear if it is indeed bottoming out.

 

There's a lot of mistakes that can be made when ordering suspension components. There are different coils for front and rear suspension, Toyota messed with ride height from year to year (99 being the highest 2001 being lowest iirc), and 4wd and 2wd had differences. When you ordered it did you use your VIN or did you simply do it by year?

Is the 4runner sitting level when it's stationary?
