Anyone else with a size 12 or bigger shoe find the gas pedal space between brake pedal and console barely enough to fit your foot into? Just wondering if anyone has trimmed the right side of the brake pedal for more room to rest on the accelerator.

Size 13. I noticed it, but got used to it after a couple of weeks. Haven’t thought about it again since — 2.5 years.

12 wide here. Tight but doable. Just don’t try it in sandals.

I just cut about 3/4in off the right side of the brake pedal, left the rubber cover whole and glued it down as far left as possible. Huge difference, highly recommend to all the big foots out there.

Interesting. I'm size 12. For the 30 years prior to getting my 4Runner in early January, I have been driving Porsches pretty much daily for the past 30 years - so very used to their pedal arrangement and the car as a whole, like it was a part of me. Probably the only thing about the 4Runner that has bugged me are the pedals. I do feel sometimes like my foot is slightly catching on the side of the brake pedal when switching from the go pedal. I've looked into aftermarket pedal covers or replacements, but haven't really found anything yet (although I haven't really spent much time analyzing all this. I'll check out the suggestion above, and any others that show up below.
