Current Delivery Estimates Accurate?

Hey Guys,

The current est delivery time for my 4R is early May.
Anyone have first-hand knowledge whether Toyota generally delivers on time these days?

Been checking on Toyota Tracker where it's been in Allocation for a while and now says it no longer has any further information as of yesterday. In order to meet the early May delivery date, I'm assuming production basically has to be done this week at the latest.

Welcome. Reach out to your dealer and request a dealer daily screenshot for the most up to date information. Also, keep in mind that there may be rail and freight delays, that are out of the dealers control.

 

Thanks. I called my dealer and they said they still show by the estimated delivery date range. But not sure what they checked and how much i believe them anyway..... I'll ask for that screenshot when i follow up tho.

 

I ordered my 23 ORP and took about 6 weeks. I had the vin number so I downloaded the toyota app to see if i could track. I couldn't, however i did see the mileage. So, if its 0 miles yesterday and 1 mile today, you can assume port delivery and moving. next, 2 miles probably means its on a truck headed your way. not an exact science but could help.

I went from 0 to 1 at port. 1 to 2 when on the way to florida. 2 to 4 when my dealer had and were doing things

 

Interesting. I just registered for Toyota's website. Don't see anything re mileage but did see the "order date" of "3/2023" and "Date of First Use." Was that what you referring to? Thanks much!

 

Its the Toyota phone app. Plug in your vin then g2g

 

Where in the app are you seeing mileage? I've set it up with the VIN already. Using an iPhone.

 

Should be Home Screen. Top left. Mine showed 0 miles second I typed in vin. Just check every it few days

 

Interesting. Second time I've read about features of the app that don't appear to be universal. Other person said they were getting "door open" and other notifications on their App.

Weird. That’s what my Home Screen looks like too with miles right under the vin. The doors open and similiar notifications didn’t start working til I took possession

 

Mine has the mileage and fuel level on the 2nd screen you posted. It's the latest version of the Android app.

 

Kooky... At least it gives me something to talk about to pass the time while waiting. Does seem odd to me they would allow information access to a vehicle simply by entering a VIN in an app. *tin foil hat firmly placed on head*

While it works for some, I assume I can not view the information since my vehicle is still in transit. Once I take possession of the vehicle this should work as you've shown.

 

I was told mine would arrive mid-April to early-May and it landed on the lot April 21st and I get to pick her up this Wednesday!

Newbie here but I found this post in a search for where to find updates on the allocation haha. I was also not getting the ODO to show in the app...I removed the vehicle (i had previously saved it on the website) and then re-added it in the app and viola the ODO started to show.

Thanks for posting. I removed the vehicle and re-added it to the phone app but still nothing. I did decline adding the connected services trials so perhaps that's the issue.

 

That may be it. I accepted the first 3 in the app. Still showing N/A on my odometer though

 

Another data point! Glad to say that the actual delivery time was very accurate-- in fact one day earlier than the first day of the estimated 5-day delivery range. But does not seem to be a lot of transparency (even for the dealer) until just a couple days before.

 

I was given a window of 1.5 to 2 months. Two weeks later I got THE call that it was in.

Surprised to say the least that it was available so quick.

This was from the Southeast region, FYI.

 

I used the toyota tracker website. I'm looking for a red 4 runner OR or SR5. Found several but then I called a couple dealers and no one has them. The best they say is in 2 weeks, so I may just get the paperwork started to make sure I get what I want. The craziest thing about the 4 runner is they go from $45k-75k and I really don't see that much of a difference.

 

When mine got down to the last day of the delivery date range on the Toyota Tracker, the whole range jumped two weeks later. I'm skeptical about the reliability of the data going into it. If it were going to be two weeks late, I suspect they probably knew that sooner than delivery day.

 

So my estimated delivery for ground just updated to May 4 - June 2.

 

My buddy was able to pull some info for me.

 

My date just bumped out another week. It's going to be at least three weeks later than originally expected.

 

Mine is supposed to be here in 2 weeks BUT once they notify me I must take delivery in 24 hours or they sell it. Rough but luckily I'm self employed and can do that. Already have a list of parts too.

 

And one day after the date moved out, I got the call. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up the day after tomorrow.

 

Congrats. Been seeing a 7 day range of mine being delivered, but it's been pushed back by one day each of the last couple times I've checked. Dealer told me, even after it's gets taken off the rail, it's a guessing game.

Congrats! But you should have had the parts already ordered and waiting for months before the truck came in.
