1999 Limited, supercharged, new exhaust from just behind the cats, with the front windows down driving there's a draft that pulls heat from underneath the vehicle, it makes the center console extremely warm, I can feel the air moving from where the E brake comes through the console.
If I let the vehicle sit and idle the console never gets warm, but the moment i start driving the draft pulls the heat up, it's not the rear heat because the lines rusted so they're capped at the engine bay.

Usually means a cracked/leaking shifter boot.

The Auto trans have a shifter boot under the console?

The 4x4 shifter should. My 2wd is mostly a metal plate over the tunnel hole but there's always places to develop leaks allowing hot air from the exhaust to be drawn up.

Pulled the center console today to replace the radio and sure enough, half of the 4WD shifter boot is gone.
