i myself have not made any modifications when i bought it 8 years ago the engine had been rebuilt 22R . I love my 4 runner and will probably regret selling it but time are tough right now getting myself into a smaller vehicle is what i am needing to do. I have no regrets owning my 4 runner it has been by far the best vehicle i have owned.
hello i am needing to sell my 1985 Toyota 4 runner . I wish I could keep it but due to changes in my life i will no longer have access to a mechanic keeping up with the 4 runner will be to much for me i would like to pass her on to someone that has as much love for the 4 runner as i do. i haven't put much money into the vehicle . when i bought it the 22r engine had just been rebuilt i have not had any problems with the moter. i recently replaced the starter . and alternator. i am having a hard time deciding what price to sell it for if i could get some suggestion that would be great.

Nice clean looking outfit but as @SlvrSlug says more details will help with pricing.

Sweet looking 1985! I'll try to list what folks are going to want to know that will help determine a asking price.
    1. Mileage
    2. Auto transmission or Manual
    3. Make of the Lift
    4. Pictures, pictures, pictures like engine bay, Interior, Underside from back, front and sides showing the Frame plus the front suspension.

The more details you can put together better chance of getting a good price for it, I know of a fully stock one in excellent shape sold last year? for $17,800 the prices are all over the place on them from $8,500 on up to $27,900 <---- fully mod out one.

Welcome from Wisconsin! That is a beauty! You should not have very much trouble selling. Like the guys said, a little more info, some pics of the interior and probably a couple of pics of the frame, and you're good to go.

I sold my 1985 p/u with 329K miles for $2500 and my mechanic was PO'd I didn't sell it to him. Yours looks good and compare with others on Carvana, etc for a price. Prices will vary with the local market.

Just a ballpark, but average price for an '85 is a little less than $15K, according to a quick search.

They just sold a 85 Toyota p/u for $75k at the auction. Don’t see why it wouldn’t be worth more.

I had a NICE 89 p/u, the 22 re is a strong motor I towed the boat with it. But, when I saw the 4R go up for sale I sold the truck quick for $3500.
