Would you buy, or too far gone?

This 2001 3rd Gen 4runner has 210,000 miles, good interior, perfect body, but the frame is rusted as shown in the photos. Other than a bad transfer case, it has no other mechanical issues and drives good in 2wd.
    Questions:
    • Would you buy this if for sale or is the rust too bad?
    • If I didn't sell and keep for a secondary car for just local driving less than 40mph, is the frame weldable to have it last for 2-3 more years?
    • If I were to sell, what's a fair price?
    Appreciate your input!

    I'd pay $1000 for it.

Then again I'd be cutting and welding new metal in place too.

1000$ maybe 1500-2000$ if it has a really pristine interior and mechanicals. That shouldn't be driven as it is on the open road, the front sway bar mount looks compromised, and the 5th photo has several holes in the frame in important places. The oil leaks too.

As a buyer I would only be putting money on it if I had another frame or for parts. And you should have the same approach, unless your a competent welder your throwing good money at bad. It will need a lot of welding and money to make it somewhat safe, and it's you'll be back at square one in a few years if you don't address the rust. No part of that vehicle is going to get any easier to sell in the few years you might get, at least now it has a good body.

The trailing arm mount looks pretty humble. I bought a Trailblazer with the same problem, after alot of fab work, a couple of busted knuckles, and some welding it was fixed, but was a pain in the ass. I guess if your going to fix that trailing arm mount and the sway bar mount... yourself, go for it, not top dollar though, because a couple of the pics show heavy scaling on the frame, so is it not too far from rust through? Also noticed the Minn. plate, that's what we get for the salt on the winter roads where we live.

Notify next of kin. She is done.
And I’m from Pennsylvania. I understand rust.
    $1000 sound about right.

Well if your in PA that should never pass state inspection. It's all these states without state inspecting where the roads become a free for all
