    Bumper addition!

I wasn't planning on doing a bumper in all honesty, but someone hit my truck in the parking lot at work, so I used that money to upgrade the bumper to something more rugged. The reason I didn't want to go with a bumper to begin with was due to the weight(and subsequent effect on mpgs), so I did a lot of research on bumpers before I pulled the trigger. There are a ton of options out there, and a lot that are cheaper than this one too. But I ended up going with Backwoods Adventure Mods for a few reasons. One, the weight. 85ish lbs for the whole bumper was pretty awesome, I think the only one lighter I found was the CBI aluminum. The second reason, and the reason that I picked this one over the CBI is that this one is a hybrid in that it has a steel cradle that attaches to the frame and provides winch support and a place for the winch, and then the outer shell is all aluminum. So to me, it was the best of both worlds: lightweight, but strength where I felt it was important. I definitely notice the weight on the front, but it still doesn't feel as heavy as the relentless fab one I had on my last vehicle. It sucks that there doesn't seem to be a bumper that you don't have to cut your stock bumper up for, but nature of the beast when it comes to a gargantuan front bumper piece on these 5th gens lol. I took zero pics of the install, but its fairly simple-8 bolts to attach the bumper to the frame where the old crash bar mounts(plus another 2 for the winch supports if you opt for them) and then another 6 to attach the shell to the winch cradle.

Next step will be to adjust the coilovers once the weight settles out, but I'm really happy with it so far.
