I have a 05 4runner and need a master cylinder. $1500 for the part, WTH! s there an alternative? Thanks.

Used is about the only alternative. Unfortunately, there's no guarantee the used part will be any good or last any longer. The master cylinder is probably the worst thing to have to deal with on the 4th gen 4Runners.
