    Reviewing options.

What are the real differences between these years of TRD Pro versions of the 4 runner?

I love the lunar rock color but don't want to miss out on safety features or other based on that yr color was the 2021 version.

    Let me know. Thanks

If you want all of the latest safety features, I would get a 23 TRD off-road premium in lunar rock with MTM. Change out the wheels, badges, front and rear valences, and the front grill. Now you have a 23 Pro in lunar rock.

This is a great idea, except I’d argue that the KDSS option makes the ORP better in the first place

Actually, the seats are identical in both. Add a TRD skid plate and your own suspension. Now you have a mock Super Pro.

Don't forget that abomination of a roof rack.

    Or get real skids. :D

But, yeah, an ORP is not a PRO.

One could also argue that the non KDSS option makes the ORP better in terms of better reliability, much comfy and softer ride, no trouble in installing sliders, skids, lifts like you don't get KDSS lean, no needing of cutting and chopping metal. Much easy to fit bigger spare tire (less stuff behind rear axle), more rear flex, etc....

Aren't lot of those installed locally? US Port pictures seem it come like ORP from factory without TRD Pro wheels, tires, roof rack, badges,....

all of these are non existent problems for KDSS 4Rs. you’re doing it wrong if you have any of these problems.

If OP is going for the Pro I highly encourage to look at 2023 with newest safety features and convenience features. Even the tiniest thing like turn signal indicators on mirrors so someone on the side would notice more. To features like heated steering, blind spot, 360 camera, etc..

Yes, JBL is a nice option from factory. But I don't know if setups like Tacotunes / OEM Audio plus is a better aftermarket option or not. Haven't heard them personally. Remote start, location service connect are good subscription service available with TRD Pro that I like but costly. I pay $240 yearly for connected service, remote start & dynamic navigation.

Stuff like Fox suspension, TRD Pro wheels, Nitto Terra Grappler tires (with non matching spare tire), dual zone automatic climate control, roof rack are meh for me.

Just some points for you to think if you want Pro or build ORP the way you want with aftermarket.

    Appreciate the feedback.

Came from a Tacoma to a F-150 and the Ford is too big for my use. Loved the Tacoma and maybe want to try the SUV

Have not had a 4 runner before.
