Hello from Boston

New member here, been wanting 4Runner since forever. Finally got a 2023 ORP MGM.
So far got new wheels and tires (anyone want to buy stock wheels, tires? ).
Looking forward to many more mods and perhaps meeting some of you here on trails!

hey there!
Any good places you’d recommend for lift kit install? Everyone in Boston area is super expensive!

 

It's comical how much shops up here charge. I had my Dobinsons IMS adjustable put on by a guy named Jimmy in Portsmouth NH. Small business owner/vet only an hour or so from Boston. His pricing was very reasonable. Only catch is that I asked to have my lift set at 2.5F/1.5R but he measured from the wrong point so now I'm sitting at 3.5" in the front. Either have to drop it an inch and have it realigned, or order 2.5 rear springs and a diff drop to make it sit more level.

His pricing was less than half the cost of what the other shops wanted though, so I guess it's a judgement call. Some lifts are more tedious than others. I'm sure if it's a direct bolt on with no adjustable or preassembled seat heights it wouldn't be an issue. I tried to save a penny by not ordering my kit preassembled at the correct height...wish I would've spent the extra $100 now. Oh well.
