What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Love the Sherpa rack. With a few turns on the hex wrench by bar, you can slide them in any direction. For heavy load, you can bring them closer to carry the weight or lighter camping loads, spread them out to carry more on top. Also, pretty easy to install after watching a few YouTube videos.

 

Every YouTube video seems to leave something out … LOL. Now that weather is getting nicer, I’m waiting for a dry weekend to install my Black Friday purchase (and my wife can use the dining room again, lol).

 

Added Wescott ladder, definitely not straightforward as YouTube vids. BUT, I found adding a folded towel between ladder bottom and hatch (vs masking tape) did the trick to make things faster and easier.

 

Looks great! This is the same ladder I'm planning on doing when I add a Sherpa Crestone this spring/summer.

 

Nice.. I haven't tried weather tech but for sure I like husky floor mats. I got them when there was a sale few years back at Home Depot online. (No I'm not joking, HomeDepot).

 

I normally dislike bronze wheels but those are really nice! SCS?

 

Inspired by @gburd this is my new 23 4Runner with 316s and KO2s. Stock size no lift. I can not take as nice pics as @gburd maybe will try again when its overcast.

 

This was exactly my problem as well with them. I have had them for years now but now thinking I need to give others a chance. For me their second row was really bad -- always the lip would turn inwards causing some lack of coverage.
I have the port installed all weather mats right now but am guessing these are pretty bad. Don't know why toyota sells such crappy quality ones.

 

I’ll try these out and give feedback in a few months after some wear.

I Have not posted anything in a while, so....Here is one.

 

Admired how gorgeous a new 4R is from underneath

 

Nice, strong as hell lower control arms. OptOffroad. On the pic I have got only rear lower ones, but I did the full kit. Both rear upper and lower one. Emkeith skid plates on those links, red accented. I love them.

 

Covered my whole rig in PPF. This one was done by a specialist.






Decals I did myself. Ordered them from one of the members on this site.

Some speed sensors protective covers and the latest addition, sumo spring, blue on the front.

 

And here we have got:

Rear diff skid plate
Shocks skid plates - red accent, I love it.
Sumo springs black, thicker and denser than the blue option. I tow my trailer sometimes. OEM stop bumpers are gone for now....
Differential breather and diff locker breather also installed.
And everything smeared with the rust inhibitor.

 

Finally got around to washing it. First proper wash since putting on the new wheels & sliders

 

Added an LFD fairing (with 1mm mounting clearance!) to my 1020 extruded crossbar setup. The panel is a 100W Ecoflow which wedges down nicely in the rack. I had some wind noise at 70+mph so I'm hoping the fairing helps with that.



I'm planning to add 1-2 more 1020 crossbars in the back and then call it done...

Couldn't deal with the screw holes on my front valence from removing my license plate bracket so I scored one without holes from @TN_FunRunner (thank you brother!) with plans to throw on that one and repair and paint the old one either white or a custom style (in my mind it looks cool but we'll see). Then a couple days later I came across an oem Pro black on in really good condition for a ridiculous price and couldn't resist. Now I'm not sure which way to go ...

Oh yeah, I also scored an oem pro upper that was a little beat up but for a ridiculous price now I just need the grill piece.

 

Added some wrap to the pillars and side mirrors of my 2015 Runner back a few months ago. Wasn't able to get a chance to photograph until now. Loaned her out to my mechanic for a few weeks while he was doing some work on his Ram truck.



Sorry for the shite quality of this image, took it at dusk and the sun behind the truck was wreaking havoc on the camera.

 

Also have a Westcott Designs Lo-Pro roof rack on order and 40" combo light bar to fit in the rack. (3-4 weeks ETA)
