Purchased this 2020 trd offroad premium a few months ago. Debadged, added trd pro grill, bronze lettering, 40th anniversary wheels, mild a/t tires 255/75/17, and a pedal commander.

Plan on adding bilstein 6112/5160 with maybe a 1" lift or might keep it stock height. Also plan on replacing the silver lower front and rear valence with black.

I drive a ton of highway miles so I'm looking to keep weight down and mpg up.

    Congrats on the 4R.

Was it difficult to align the grill surround after installing the trd pro grille? Any tips?

    Grill surround?

The instalation went smooth the only issue I had/have is I didn't heat the front piece before I slid it on so if you look really closely the horizontal piece which says toyota on it isn't perfectly flush. You can't tell unless you look really close so I'm unsure if I will try to fix it or not

By grille surround, I was referring to the top red piece that you had to take off. Did that piece align well after the re-install?

I'll look at it closely next time I go outside but I didn't notice it being off. Taking it off was a bit tedious and I didn't love the sounds it made while I was pulling on it. Putting it back on was a little easier. I had leftover clips but everything feels tight and solid

In the plans, having trouble pulling the trigger due to their price, but don't really want to paint them.

This reminds me of an old body shop master tech I used to apprentice for. One time, a customer came back to eagle-eye him putting the finishing touches on their vehicle, but he hated customers looking over his shoulder. One trip to the toolbox for a screwdriver, he nonchalantly grabbed a dozen assorted screws as well, dropping them in with the final trim screws at the car. When he was done putting the car together, he looked at his extra screws, looked back at the car, then muttered “they always put too many screws on these cars”, and proceeded to toss the screws over his shoulder. The customer was mortified. I was 17 and amazed, lol.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the red initially but have definitely fallen in love with the color the longer I own it

It’s a great color and stands out. The beauty of it, whatever mod you want will look great and will be an eye stopper.
