    Hello 4runners!

I just purchased the OME 3inch lift kit (Medium Load) for my 2015 SR5 4Runner. While I wait for it to arrive, I was looking to upgrade my current tires of 265/70/17 (Goodyear Duratacs) to 285/70/17 (Goodyear Duratacs). Will the 285s still rub or require a body modification? I am willing not to do that as I want to keep my 4runner pure from all that. Also want to keep the same wheels which is like +12 offset so I'm assuming their won't be any problems putting it on the 285s. Also do I need to purchase UCA's? or can I use the stock ones?

    Thanks for the help :)

I had OME "3inch" lift but really its about 2.5in with OME 884 coils. I did some trimming to the bumper to fit 285s. This is one of my old videos explaining what I did. Not expert advice, just sharing what I did if that helps anyone.

As for the UCA if possible get UCA for 3in lift. Here's a screenshot from my Ironman lift (2.25in) with stock UCA. Per the alignment sheet its not perfect but I don't feel anything wrong. I don't know much about alignment though. May be I might have ever so slightly slightly more outside tire wear with that camber? Not sure.

You’ll more than likely have to trim some of the fender liner and/or bumper. May or may not need a BMC. If you get UCA’s and can get your caster dialed in close to 4 degrees, it’ll move the tire forward which will mean more bumper work but less likely to need to chop the body mount. The stock UCA’s with 285’s is more likely to need a body mount chop.

Did OP added "285/70/17 (Goodyear Duratacs)" just now? That's a 33in tire. So might be a safer bet to have adjustable UCA and push the tire forward.

My experience are 32.76 / 32.8 tires, so I think have slightly less trouble.

Is "willing not to do that" the same as "not willing to do that"? :)

Most likely there will have to be some adjusting/trimming somewhere. Lift alone does not allow fitment of larger tires, as has been stated in countless "Will 285s fit with xxlift and no trimming?" threads.
