Anyone have issues with 4Runnerlifestyle.com?

Hey all. New to the forum and to the 4Runner community having just bought a 2023 ORP. I bought an "in stock ready to ship" full length Prinsu rack from 4Runnerlifestyle.com back on 3/18, they made a shipping label on 3/20 but they never actually shipped it. I emailed them on 3/27 and they said it would ship on 4/3. Again, it didn't ship. Emailed them Monday to see what happened and was told that it is supposed to ship today 4/6. Seeing that the day is coming to an end and there has been no update on the tracking number, I'm thinking it isn't going to ship today.

Just curious if anyone else has run into this with them.

 

Im having same issues with shipping on other stores. Freakin sick of it. Just cancel and leave nasty reviews. Buyers shouldnt have to work so hard tracking their already purchased items.

 

They’ve already processed the order and have my money. Their customer service sucks. It takes two days to get a response.
I completely agree. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

 

I'm going to guess its wasn't at stock in their warehouse but at Prinsu.

If you go to Prinsu's page it says in stock. Should of just ordered direct.

 

I have bought from them several times and what I've gathered is they create a shipping label and enter in to the carrier's system well before they are actually able to ship.

I had one order on the carrier's website showing "shipping label created, awaiting package" for almost three weeks. Good news is, I have always received what I ordered... eventually.

With a big ticket item like that, I certainly understand your concern and frustration.

 

Same here I've ordered from them a number of times, all the way to Canada. Relax, this is normal. Especially ever since Dumb and Dumber are running North America and pooched the supply chain

 

This is what happens when a company drop ships from the vendor. You would have been better off buying direct from Prinsu. But, since you bought from this other company, just be patient and it will arrive before you know it. The supply chain is so screwed up right now.

 

I'm having issues with them being out of stock of everything I want to buy.

If I knew where else to get it I would but they are the only ones who have a matte black rear bumper valance that I've found. Never ordered anything from them before so this is good info so I'm not surprised if/when I do order

 

I get it that it’s possible they drop ship from the manufacturer but to tell me it’s going to ship two different times and it doesn’t is kinda screwed up. I’d be out of business if I did that.

@steelevo is correct. This is just how the state of drop-ship commerce works these days. No small company buys gear, stores it in a warehouse and waits for orders. They all accept your order and forward it to the manufacturer who actually ships it direct to you. Inventory status is often hours or days old when listed on the website and is rarely correct.

I recently ran into the same issue. Website said “in stock”, I placed an order, the email confirmation said 3 week delivery. I was disturbed but I actually received it in one week.
You just have to be patient.

 

Never had a problem. Roof racks are always on backorder. You shouldn't be surprised

 

I had this happen with another vendor last week. Needed a Jerry can holder for my roof rack by this weekend, so I called them before I bought to make sure it would be here in time. He promised it would. A week later, I called the manufacturer directly to ask about the order’s status, and they still didn’t have record of it. They had to call a regional rep to find that they were still waiting to receive my money from the vendor. Anyway, I canceled the order upon hearing it wouldn’t be here in time even if I ordered directly. But I learned a valuable lesson. Just buy direct in the first place, if a price looks too good to be true, it likely is.

 

Holy shit! I cannot believe how complacent you guys are with bad service.

A supplier giving you a ship date and not meeting it twice is unacceptable. I don’t care if it’s 3rd or 4th party. Drop ship or in stock. Your complacency and the fact that you support these people is the problem. Maybe this isn’t the forum for me.

 

Naw you're in the right place man it's an understandable reaction. I get pretty heated over nothing myself, I've just learned it is what it is with shipping in 2023

 

I bought Dr. KDSS switch kit direct from California in March, British Columbia Canada mind you, got blasted with a bill of $110 CAD (UPS specific) bullshit border fees at my front door to release package. Now Dom - Dr. KDSS added that disclaimer on his website for us good ol Canadian folks. If it ain't one thing, it's another.

 

The pandemic, worldwide shipping delays, and material shortages made it a new reality in today's world. Would be nice to have accurate info but the fact is, a lot of people don't know unless they manufacture 100% in house (which doesn't happen much anymore, everyone built a business being a middle man with markup). Even then, a raw material resource provider that doesn't hit their date causes a chain reaction

 

Look I get the whole shipping thing. In my industry lead times have doubled. When I give an ETA I add two weeks just because I know what the situation is.
I guess that’s just me.

Let’s just lie. They’re consumers and they’ll accept it because we tell them there’s supply issues. We’ll say we have it in stock but fuck them. They’ll buy it any way.

 

@Ikooters dude your exactly right, I've said that same kinda stuff! Their just like "fuck em", blame it on Covid and supply chain, make the sale.

 

All I’m saying is, be honest. Like I said, we’ve been hit with major supply chain issues my industry . I am up front with my customers. If my supplier tell me 24 weeks, I tell the end user 26-28 weeks. That way if there’s a delay, they’re prepared. I don't tell them an item is in stock and ready to ship. That’s why I have repeat customers. If that’s how 4runnerlifestyle wants to play the game, they’ve lost a customer.
Obviously there’s plenty of fools to take my place.

Thats kinda how drop shipping works. They not in control of when Prinsu sends it out. Prinsu prolly behind.

We get this shit all the time at work. Factory gives us a ship date and they miss it a lot.

This is common in most any manufacturing currently, up until Friday I was involved in the U.S. based oil/gas/steel manufacturing sectors. The promises are big and follow through terrible.

Rago refused to honor a coupon, and rushed a label while ignore my cancel email.

cali raised is known for quoting lead times they cannot deliver on (I am coming up on my 4th week for a Molle rack). With them I understand a bit more, but it’s deceptive nonetheless.

the future of aftermarket support will favor those who can provide simple customer service.

 

I get OP's frustration, if it's on back order....cool let me make my deciding to buy based on that. Because of this, i rarely use these 3rd party resellers. Most are more expensive anyways with extra mark ups from directly on manufacturer site.

I know the lack of my piddly-ass sales won't hurt any business and make them go under. But we all work hard for our money and should expect a certain level of transparency and professionalism.

OK fine. Ordered several things. Mostlt no issue. Only issue was the blackout letters for the hatch had 1 wrong letter. Has to take them off or I would have had 1 silver letter. Could be mistaken but I thought I emailed them about it and got no response.

 

Just bought the rear black valence from them 2 minutes ago. Last week got a black shift knob. I think they're a pretty good outfit for the most part. Things ship fast and I get text alerts. Pretty sweet.

 

I just bought the front/rear black valance set. Hope it gets here within the next 4 1/2 weeks because I’m moving!

 

Just got an email today that they are back in stock so I would assume it shoukd be shipping.
