Painted skid plate??

Anybody ever paint your stock skid plate grey like the TRD Pro ones? Budget is a little tight. Thanks in advance

 

No reason you couldn't, but just know going in that the stock (non-TRD Pro) plate is ribbed with screens in it - not the most decorative item. Functional, yes. Not sure that's something on my Gen5 I want to draw attention to. I'd leave it black, but that's one person's opinion. Your results may vary.

There are a number of knock-off/Non-OEM TRD Pro skid plates out there that cost less than Toyota OEM. Several threads here on the Gen5 forum talk about those.

I've seen one with the skid plate painted black. It made me like the gray more because it pops out better
