Rear bumper build

    98 locked limited
    Limited with factory rear locker, 2.5" OME suspension lift, Toy Tech 1" body lift, Toy Tech front diff drop kit, 285/75/16 BFG mud terrain tires on 16x7 Mickey Thompson Baja classic imitation bead lock alum rims. Home built swing away rear bumper.
    Yes i did as well as 4 more holes through the side of the frame for extra support. I did that after realizing that it needed more support when the tire carrier was fully opened with all of the gear on it.

    I've been looking around for a decent set of bumpers for my 98. Not many out there. Any chance you'd be up for building some more bumpers?

    Here's another Canuck with a new rear 'bumper' (that is to laff!). Got ours bunged in a fender bender and the total bill was about $1750 Cdn ($1300 US) last week. We had $1000 deductible and insurance covered the rest. Only took a day in the shop to do the job and the truck came out looking much better than new, and clean as a whistle inside and out. Even the tires are shiny black! - Cheers, Ted

    Extremely impressed! Great looking bumper. I like the way you kept the tire lower. Too bad you can't sell the pieces as a "weld it yourself kit".
