Go Rhino RB20 Running Boards

Did a search, didn't find anything. Does anyone have any experience with the RB20's? I have the stock "Chrome Detail" boards now and they are not very functional, especially for mobility challenged passengers. Not enough real estate to step on. This product looks like a good option. Not inexpensive so I thought I'd ask the question here.

The influencers on YT have a perceived stake in selling them but good content none the less.

Any real life feedback on this product would be appreciated prior to me plunking down the scratch!

 

I can't speak to the running boards, but can speak somewhat about GR quality. I have a Go Rhino hitch step and it's a solid piece. The powder coating is fantastically done. Used it over a year now, and had people of all weights standing on it at some point to access roof rack, etc. I'll let more experts chime in about the rb20s, but if all GR products are like my step then I think you'll be very satisfied.

Overall I'm very impressed with the quality and build of these running boards. I'm confident they're just as good as the OEM running boards and most other aftermarket running boards.

 

Thanks for the replies! Got them on the 4R today. They were in stock and shipped quickly. Well packaged, no damage and no missing hardware. Took less than an hour to swap them out in the driveway with no help. Electric ratchet helped.

How do you like the RB20s after almost a year of having them? I can't decide between those and the RB20 Slim version. Would you be able to post pics from the front and rear of the vehicle that can show how much the RB20s stick out?

 

I would do it again. My objective was a good step for getting in and out. I have a front shot handy at the moment. I would recommend the extra scratch for the bedliner finish. It grips pretty well but still a bit "slippery when wet". Paint would be more so.

I have also been looking at the slim line rb20 and rb10....my wife thinks it needs a step.

 

In the market for running boards too but at $500 they are quite pricey. Any sourcing recommendations? One video said they actually help with door dings. Do they?

 

Been considering these myself vs trying to find a deal on OEM take offs which are non existent in my area.

 

Yes. I had a coworker pull in a little too close one day (sedan) and he slammed his door right into it. Nice solid metallic thud!

 

Smaller SUVs and sedans, yes. Full sized trucks, not so much. The bottom of the offending vehicle's door has to be lower than your step.
