New suspension - typical amount of settling?

Can ya'll help me determine how much new suspension typically settles down, in inches? You get conflicting information on Google of course, I trust my fellow 5th gen owners for a more accurate, specific number range.
My setup is Bilstein 5100's, stock spring seat setting 0", OME 2884 stock load 590lb approx 3" lift springs, SPC UCA's, rear 5100's w/ Icon coils, minimal added weight just skids.
I've determined front sits at 2.8" lift up from stock. Did it settle from 3"+, or always been 2.8".

Were measurements taken after alignment and after it’s been run in for a few miles? The alignment guy at the 4x4 shop I used said to drive it for 100 miles or so before bringing it in for alignment.

If you measured after alignment, I would say your mileage will vary. I wouldn’t sweat differences of 1/4 inch at all. That easily is going to fall within day to day variance and measurement error.

Height might seem too high if the control arms were tightened with weight off the wheels. That will damage control arm bushings. Then when the rubber control arm bushings get torn, it might drop down noticeably.

As far as actual true settling, I have heard some spring brands can settle more than others. i suppose some loss of height can happen when the shocks get old and lose pressure.

I have dobinson springs. I recall the measurement after 15000 miles of use was pretty similar to my post-install/alignment measure.

 

Excellent info and comparison, thank you. So ya the lift was done over year and a half ago. Pretty sure SPC's were tightened properly cuz it's never seemed "too high", and the bushings and ball joints haven't failed or torn. However the tie rods failed this month cuz the pinch/jam nuts had backed off and effed the threads from play. So I got another alignment at least 100miles ago after new tie rods and bellows

 

Also, do you have solid pre-lift measurements for comparison?

 

I do not sorry but I was told yesterday stock front height is 34-1/2" ground to fender, I'm 38", including 0.7 higher tires = 2.8" lift

 

Hub to fender measurements are the easiest way to take measurements. Out of sheer laziness, I’ll post a pic of my pre and post hub to fender measirements. My target was 2.5 lift front, 1.5 rear.

After about 4 months of driving, everything settled pretty close to the advertised lift.

@McSpazatron dude nice look at that, thank-you. So you're right, and I actually posted the hub to fender measurements in other posts this week, but was going off of ground too recently cuz that's the measurement a fellow gave me comparing his.
Hub to fender:
FD: 22"
FP: 22-1/4"
RD: 23-1/2"
RP: 23-3/4"
