Am I missing something, or is the Toyota app basically useless?

My understanding is this (I may be wrong):

• The Limited and the Pro come with the ability to remote start with 3 presses of the lock button on the fob.
• Any trim that has the capability for Connected Services (has the SOS button) can be remotely started with the app.
• Any trim with a smart key can be remote started with the Accessorides kit.

 

The app has always worked great for me. Especially when the pups are in the car and I need the ac blasting when doing a quick 5-10 minute grocery store run.

 

I think you need to have the upgraded audio to have this ability. My ORP does not have it.

 

My hope of seeing mine this week has dimmed considerably... It's still stuck at the rail yard.
When it comes in I'll update my findings.
