This is my first 4Runner. The interface for the Sirius xm is really dated. When I want to listen to a live game, I have to scroll through all the PxP channels to find the game I'm looking for. It would be great if the channels had more info rather than just the channel number. Has anyone found an update that makes the interface more current? Also, I can't believe android auto is not wireless yet. My 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee had wireless android auto. Seems that updating the technology is the last thing on their list.

Welcome. If you check Amazon they have several models of Motorola wireless Android and IOS units.

Toyota really didn't think high priced 4runners need the electronics to live up to it. LOL. It wasn't until 2021 when they put WIRED AA and ACP in there to the same radio of 11 years.

Was the first thing i pulled out of the truck.

When I still used XM, I'd look up the channel on my computer before getting in the 4Runner so it would be easier to tune to the right channel.

Plus one on this trick. I agree with jfrisbee that it should be more informative. The interface online is a large jump in information opposed to what the stock head unit updates with.

I purchased a wireless adapter on Amazon right away to get android auto to work. It works well, but the adapter unfortunately takes up a USB port and can't really hide it.
I would think that updating the Sirius XM interface would just be a software update. If android auto can modify the whole display and still function using only an adapter, then it's just the software for XM that needs to be updated.
I had a VW Atlas before my 4Runner, which I was glad to get rid of, but to it's credit it did include wireless AA & ACP, and the Sirius XM interface was much more informative and looked great.
Too bad Toyota forgot about this important user experience.

Just picked my new 2023 TRDPro and to my surprise, you cannot direct tune a SXM channel that I can find. I had to select ALL and scroll to the channels I wanted to save as preselects. Very poor interface.

I printed out a list of stations that carried teams and stations I was interested in. It helped some. But trying to find games was still a hassle, especially college football...

    I solved the problem.

I'm retired and only drive "Ol' Hoss" 2 hours a week. I do take 2 road trips a year to CO for "shopping" and fly fishing. Plus I take a trip to PA every year to fish and tell lies to my old buddies at the American Legion hall. (There aren't many of them left...)

But sat radio wasn't worth the $40 a month they wanted to charge me so I "released them so they could pursue other opportunities"...
