Might be a total bunghole right now, but if that’s a new fog, that’s as big as my face
    Looks hefty

    lamin-x or something similar?

Perfect. Thanks for the tip on the adhesive. I was gonna try lock-tite until I read not to use it on plastic.

Performed my first oil change today. (5000mi) I had the MotivX kit, which made it easy.

I think it’s just the picture.

There’s a local place that installs protection fill I’ll see what they can do.

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
    Ama-zon LED reverse lights "project..."

Side by side with the OEM halogen bulb, both of the LED systems I bought outshine it massively. Not just in the temperature of light, but an actual intensity and distance. My backup cam picked up my neighbor's yard across the street whereas I could barely see halfway across the asphalt road.

As typical with Amazon junk, I will buy items that are shown as free returns and I will buy more than one. That is with the full expectation that something will fail.

I put one of each light in:
    Yorkim $10 https://amzn.to/42nTIP0
    and Alla $11 https://amzn.to/3YYQpuS

Being that I was alone, I wasn't able to take a photo that worked. My camera doesn't like the backup cam screen.

Both are equally bright. I think I'll keep the Alla just because there are more segments and, if one were to fail, there would be less loss in brightness.

Get the Panhard Bar relocation bracket from Drkdss. It will put the rear end geometry back to stock.

Installed my GMRS in the same location. I ran an extension (ordered it from Midland) from the center console to the front so I can have the handheld next to me.

Saturday: installed Accessorides remote starter, tested several times, with several stops, shot some pool, then wouldn't start -- doesn't even try to turn over.
Sunday: uninstalled Accessorides remote starter in the parking lot of the pool hall, still wouldn't start after removing all components. Bought a code reader, only indicates U1117 lost connectivity to accessory gateway B15FE XM tuner antenna disconnected. Oh and 12.12V on the battery. Also found a loose wire on the fuse of the remote start unit to boot. Towed my new (to me) 4R to dealer.
Today: sitting and waiting to see if they get to me today to figure out what's wrong.

Installed a 2021 OEM head unit into my 2019. Added the Motorola Wireless adapter and Anytime Camera. Works flawless and the bigger screen is so much nicer.

Hope things goes well on that and following.
I'm thinking to get Accessorides remote starter with mobile service since it has location service. My 2019 no more supported by Toyota Connected services. With extremely high rate of vehicle theft here in CO (#2 highest for Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Metro area) I want to have location service on my 2019. I too might have to be careful as I see some kind of a security system installed by the dealer even when I bought it new.

Thinking Remote starter itself is a security risk.
Toyota dealerships no longer installs Remote Starter on the newer 2022/2023.

I pay $80 yearly for connected services with GPS locator now..

I did not ask for that aftermarket security thing. I guess that Toyota dealership install on all vehicles they get.
I paid $80 yearly for connected services until Toyota stopped that for 3G connected vehicles. I even sent multiple messages via Toyota owners portal to upgrade my service on my 2019 to newer and continue to have my Connected services, but no luck upgrading old 3G to newer LTE service come on newer 4Runners.
So my next option is known after market solution for location service.

Too lazy to run to a garage but here is a pic from the internet looks very closer to what I have on my 4Runner. (Lucky mine seems to be just double side tape fixed, no nuts & holes on plastic)

I have the Accessorides remote start on my 4Runner. Having GPS location was part of the reason I got it. The service seems more reliable than the Toyota service my wife has for her Highlander. Hers might be more secure because as soon as you touch the vehicle, the engine stops. With the aftermarket system, if someone has generic key copy (no chip), they can still drive off since the engine is already running.

9019AF26-454B-48D0-AAB1-140BBBDC963F.jpg Not done to 4 runner, but for it. This should work well for the way I camp and was much cheaper than a dual battery set up. On sale at REI and my rewards put it at 450.00.

Thanks, just picked it back up. They said a blown starter fuse (I should've checked that...) and battery was bad (but it was 3 weeks old, so I have a feeling this is the first of several stops to trace out whatever drain issue I have going on. Accessorides is great - they've been responsive and support has been great after I screwed up an order and they fixed it for me. They've already sent out a new unit for me to replace the one I've got with the loose wire. At least I have my 4R back.

    None.
Coworker gave me a free Thule roof rack today! It's in great condition and now to load it up with more crap I don't need but can't live without.

Nice! Where did you run the extension?

I bought a generic RJ45 extension (and cut/terminated to length) that I saw in a TacomaBeast video.

When not in use, it’s pretty stealthy, except for the mic clip, which I hate. But as I write this, I realize that a magnetic clip in the vent would be much cleaner and removable when not using the radio…

Yup, I think I prefer the Rokform Vent clip.
    3AAFDE66-2F5C-4A72-BF4D-642EE9FE9BD6.jpg

Then, when not in use, the vent clip can come off and store in the center console. But both my fiancé and I use the Rokform cases, so we actually use the clip daily as our phone mount.

Had an old roof rack laying around from when I had an LR3 so I decided to throw it up on top. Probably won't use it that much but it beats having it lay around the garage taking up space and getting dusty.

Might need to loosen and make sure they're level. Just wanted to get them on.

Nice! Thinking about doing this in my '19 SR5P. Can I ask where you bought the head unit and how much it cost? Also, do you have a link to the Motorola wireless adapter. And last question ... direct plug in, or did you need to buy an adapter?
