Looks really good! Again, glad you got it all sorted out and sitting the way you wanted it. Thanks for the additional photos. You can definitely tell a difference. How is the ride quality with the rear spacers?

Thank you. I really like the MGM color. My 2013 Tacoma was MGM also.

Posting here as figured someone might know the answer prior to me going on to marketplace. Would my new (3 months old) front OEM struts have any value? I replaced with Billstein 5100’s. Thanks in advance!

I have seen complete used sets (front/rear) on eBay for 50.00. Hope this helps.

Hi ARK. Billstein front and rear. I’m 1.75 front, rear zero, but a 1 inch corn fed spacer.

Do the markings need to always face forward? I notice one of my mine is in the back after the installation.

Hey everybody I just joined and I am a long time member on the Tundra thread. I have a 2014 forerunner SR5 with 160,000 miles on it. It had original shocks that were all leaking. I put the 1500’s all around. I picked them up at Shock Surplus for around $400. The guys are great there to talk to on the phone if you have any questions. Used the .88 with original springs. The ride is great. It handles the bumps and turns awesome. This is me comparing it to Fox TRD pro suspension on the tundra as well. I also replaced the spark plugs. The thing is like a new rig good for a while now. Thanks to everyone for their input and advice.

    Hello,

I have a 2016 4-Runner Trail in White with the exact same set-up you have. Truck was bought new and the lift installed a week later. Currently has 47,000 miles and it’s been great. The 5100s definitely reduced the nose dive. I'm waiting on a 2023 TRD O/R & plan to have the same rake but a bit higher (1/2 an inch higher all the way around) maintain the same rake. Not sure if I should go with 6112's up front at 2"'s & a 1.5" cornfed coil spring spacer out back.

Just had 5100s installed all around… .85 in front. I have to say, I labored over this decision and really happy with how it looks and more importantly how it drives. Pics don’t do .85 justice in my opinion. B35C7E24-9604-4F9E-99E5-EA26BCE198E0.jpg

If you happen to see a stock 4runner out and about that you can get a pic next to, that would help a lot of folks out. I had 5100s at .85 in front on my Tacoma(albeit also with 255/75/17s) and it looked normal to me until I'd park next to a stock 2nd gen.

I just installed the adjustable 5100s on my 2023 TRD ORP on Saturday. I suppose the proper setting debate will go on forever but i set them at .85 and i think its perfect. The difference in the ride is massive. The vehicle drives like it should have from the factory. I have 2 recommendations for anyone buying a new 4Runner. Get a Pedal Commander and a set of the Bilstein 5100 shocks.

So depending where you live, there's some reputable shops that setup pop ups at different locations for a day at a time. You pre book your time slot. Or you can go directly to a performance shop that offers off the shelf tunes, or one that specializes in custom tunes.

ECU tunes optimize how your engine performs, they can yield more power and or better fuel economy, even change fuel type. Some alter your vehicle's fuel trims and ignition timing.

I've heard great things about these guys in Canada, approx $700, just google your area. FB_IMG_1679942114376.jpg

Is the 5100 going to work with a 4R with the xreas system? I plan to ditch the xreas and switch to a conventional suspension.

if youre ditching the xreas, i believ you can replace it with anything.

imo if youre going to replace things, go with the 6112 kit in the front with replacement coils and 5100s in the rear. Heres my set up on my 2022 TSE.

What would be an estimated labor cost to have the xreas removed and the 5100 installed. I am in Maryland.

Just wanted to drop this in here since some people reading this thread may be considering the 6112 option and curious about the visual difference between 1.75" and 2" up front. I have the 6112s (6/4 clips for 2" lift) on the front, and 5100s on the rear with Bilstein B12 springs (1" lift). I've been incredibly happy with the stance and feel behind the wheel. I was close to going with 5100s all around and it's still an excellent option to save a few bucks. In the end, I decided to pay a little more for what felt like a moderate increase in quality (highly debated, I'm sure). Going with 2” up front still gave me the slight rake I desired, while the B12 springs stiffened the rear just enough to load the trunk without sagging. I'm also running 275 KO2s for anyone wondering.

Appreciate it! The 6112 setup essentially comes with “custom” springs to accommodate the 60mm coilovers, but everything else was purchased separately. I managed to piece it together for a little cheaper a la cart, although it can be purchased as a set. You can also get a set with 5160s for the rear, but that really would’ve been an overkill for my application.
