“The survey showed that 74-percent of Lightning owners claim to use their trucks once a month for home projects such as hauling lumber, gardening supplies, appliances, and more. This is compared to 51 percent of traditional pickup owners. The survey continues and points out that 27-percent of Lightning buyers use their trucks for this task more than once a month, compared to just 14 percent of standard F-150 buyers. Finally, 48-percent of Lightning owners claim to use the truck for monthly camping excursions, as compared to 40-percent of F-150 owners.”

I used my F150 for home projects at least once a month...then I got divorced and she kept the house, at that point I no longer used the F150 for home projects (although I did help friends with dump runs, etc. Now I no longer have a truck since I traded it on the 4runner and I'll be looking for a house later in the year (maybe, depends on whether prices come down some now that interest rates have tripled...if not, I'll stay where I am and invest more).

I once hauled a pallet of pellets in the bed. Admittedly I was over payload but only about 200lb (plus me).
