Is it ok to remove a couple inches off my tailpipe?

It seems to be a low spot. Some Jeepers I was hanging with recently told me it's ok to use a sawzall to cut it shorter. Are there any reasons I shouldn't? Seems like if it's cut too short, you have a greater danger of exhaust coming into your truck interior, but otherwise?

There would be risk of exhaust entering if you sit at idle for long periods but chop away if you don't.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Might as well go with a side exhaust if you're worried.

The Jeepers also mentioned that. Just a bit of money, compared to me with my sawzall.

Cut off where its dented and see what happens! If it gets dented again, trim a bit more. If you start to feel sleepy while idling, you'll know you went too far haha

Damn thing always got in the way. I chopped mine off on the trail with a sawzall. 874E5449-E647-4F55-9804-087100CE639C.jpgDAE3D5B9-17F8-4624-94C3-4BCEA8A064AA.jpg

I'd cut it at a 45, leaving as much as you can at the top of the pipe.

From the pic, it looks like you can get rid of all the damage going this route.

    Good idea, thanks!
And I just noticed your real name is Jake? Lol, didn't mean to slam you in last week's rant.

There are people who take Rick at more than surface value. To be fair, there is a lot to take with that show that's beneath the surface. But when it comes to Rick, I like Rick because he says what he wants and doesn't care what anyone thinks :headbang:
