    Hi All,

We r proud owners of a 2018 4Runner Limited Trim and were looking to upgrade the exhaust system on it. The two options we settled on were
    1) Magnaflow 15145 Catback
    2) Borla 140379 Catback
I would really appreciate words of wisdom from the forum about which one to get.

    Hi,
I don't have any words of wisdom. I am actually looking to install a catback on my 2017. I was curious how you arrived at those 2 choices?

Watched a lot of videos on youtube, did quite a bit of reading on the net as well, read a few reviews and that's how I narrowed it down. But anyways I ordered the Magnaflow because there's a sale going on right now on Magnaflow products and that got me the Magnalfow 15145 Catback for $1091 CAD including taxes which is a really sweet deal.

I guess it depends on your tolerance for exhaust drone. Most people complain about aftermarket exhausts(even the oem trd pro exhaust) being too "loud".

Your paying $1000 just for sound, there not much, if any performance increase.

Welcome. Haven't seen much performance gains from exhaust on these trucks. But if you like the sound go for it.

Yes maybe a gain of about 5-6HP but Magnaflow claims to have No Drone Tech coz I read about the drone too but Magnaflow says they don’t have any. Another reason is the exhaust looks a little better than d stock that’s why changing it. For performance I’m getting the Magnusson supercharger either next summer or next winter depending on how much I can save lol. Also planning to upgrade the suspension system but this XReas thing causes a lot of problems coz the whole system has to be taken off to install after market Bilsteins.
