Thanks for the compliment. Here they are installed. Big badge is next. To cover or pull it and dip it. That is the question.91B81EDB-E23C-4542-A145-B0AE184E9008.jpg

I recently installed pod ditch lights, and just got a Canvasback customer cargo liner.

Wow, hate to agree with you. What is that…a good 4 inches beyond tire width? Something to keep in mind taking corners in parking lots or gas stations with those concrete tubes sticking up out of the ground. That would be an expensive day if they dont tear off from the body cleanly. Any gas mileage hit?

But do they help with getting in and out of the 4runner?

If your wife finds them useful to to climb in, that’s one thing. But I have heard that the toyota version of those steps have horribly positioned steps that actually get in the way as you climb in or out. Not sure if those are positioned the same.

I had the predator steps on mine for a while. I thought they were actually perfectly placed. Me being 6'4" I could just step in on the side of the step itself and my 5'2" partner used them to step in. And they don't stick out of the vehicle 5" lol

Had to replace a leaking left front Eibach shock.

Between shop labor, re-alignment and two Uber rides, I'm several hundred dollars lighter today and now paranoid about the other three corners. If the rears go, I can do those myself, but I don't mess with coilover assemblies.

Tomorrow or Sunday, taking the roof rack off. Don't use it or the equipment as much as I thought I would. Keeping off-road lights and stashing the shovel and traction mats inside. Use it on long trips and that should improve mileage a teeny bit!

I made a roof rack from laser-cut aluminum plates and extruded aluminum. Used it to haul a piece of steel for a snow plow cutting edge. C4D0B33D-785C-457B-9BCF-12629F5D817A.jpg

Sorry to hear that! Are they Eibach Pro Coilover 2.0? How long have you had them and do you off road hard?

I answered that a few posts up. Not 2.0s. Pro Truck Sport before the 2.0s were released. 14,000 miles.

To answer the rest, a little over 3 years. Maybe 10% offload miles and I while there have been some difficult trails, I am pretty methodical about lines and speeds. Over all, moderate.

In fairness, not a slam on Eibach. This is not my first set and I've never had a problem prior over an excess of 100,000 miles on a Tundra. It's just a bummer because it's still expensive even if you get reimbursed for the shock and it makes me worry about the other three corners.

Surprisingly they don't hinder getting in as the indents are perfectly placed.

My 5" may come in handy when negotiating through protestors. I know I may regret this comment on 2 levels.

If you are referring to the predator step bars from Toyota I agree. My Dad near fell trying those on a demo vehicle. For myself I found them awkwardly placed myself but liked the look of them. If someone needs the step I agree they seem to be off on positioning.

Installed a few tiny LED lights in the useless hood scoop. Have them wired to a switch panel but would rather have them wired to driving light wire for the head lights, if you know witch wire it is coming from the headlights, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!20230307_103839.jpg 20230307_105952.jpg 20230307_185752.jpg 20230309_065338.jpg

I've had really good results with the Natika cameras. Here are a couple configurations. The first one looks similar to the one you are replacing, but it is a much higher quality with a warranty.

Awesome Output but brave having so much wires in the engine bay.
Is the vehicle out of factory warranty?

The hood scoop is non-functional from the 80s.
    Yet still catches attention :)
