I put flat black trim overlay on most parts but I am trying to black out the areas around the dial for the vent direction and the heat dial. Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Scott

i know AJT has the dials themselves. if you want the words themselves blacked out, I haven't seen anything made yet to do that. obviously if you don't want the words......paint, dip, or wrap. But i haven't seen anything blacked out with the actually words and notches.

I would leave it to have some contrast.

Get a rattle can of flat black and go for it.

I can't remember if it was on this forum or the other, but I've come across someone that used VHT Nightshade tint spray on those with success. It darkened them up enough without completely blacking out the information on the dials. Just kept the coats light until he achieved the look he was going for.

Just to give you an idea of the contrast. These are ajt dials. I have red screws but you can get a variety. I too wanted to get rid of the gray around the knob but I've gotten used to the contrast...I may keep it this way.
