Is there an aftermarket grille option that allows more air to the radiator? In the most extreme example like this Tacoma, attached below.

I understand the metal behind the middle bar of the 4R grille would make this difficult or impossible but thought I'd ask.

Would this not improve air flow as it removes the Toyota emblem and chrome side slit trim pieces?

I live in Houston, Texas and will be towing at capacity in the coming months more than likely and want to do what I can ahead of time. Side note, any recommendations for tranny cooler?

    Thanks.

I would not be concerned about airflow through the front of your truck. Folks run big front bumpers and lights that have no issue with coolant temperatures.

As for towing, I tow in S4, avoid 5th gear unless flat. Never seen tranny temps that concerned me but I am not pulling 5000 pounds. A scan gauge or a way to monitor transmission temps is helpful. What are you towing?

That's good to know. Do you have a tranny temp gauge though? Or how are you qualifying that your transmission never got too hot? Thanks.

Airflow is fine. These vehicles live in many different climates without any issues.

Here's a tranny cooler install. I think I would go slightly smaller for my own for better fitment. You do have a tranny temp warning in the dash.
