    Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to properly introduce myself and my new-to-me 2021 4Runner.

I live in Atlanta and I am coming from a 2004 Pathfinder Platinum Edition. I have to say I loved my pathfinder. I had it for over 10 years with zero issues. One day a few weeks back, my wife and I were out riding around and on our way back the transmission would only go into 1st and 2nd gear. Still got us home and I actually kept driving her for a few weeks until I had to let her go to a used junk car dealer. It had 327,000 miles when I gave her up but she was still going. I was going to get a Bronco but have been eyeing the 4Runners for a very long time and even almost bought one back in 08 but it just never did happen. I need something to haul my bikes around in the N. Ga mountains/Eastern part of N. Carolina. So far, I am very happy with the vehicle but still getting used to it. I really wanted to change colors but at the time this was the only one that met my criteria around the Atlanta area. Even my wife has a white BMW!

    So I went from this...

    To this...

Yes, I did. I bought it from my dad back in 2012. He was the original owner. Everything on it was original except the tires. After I came home from the dealer in the 4Runner, I begged my wife to sell her BMW and drive the 4Runner and I was going to repair the transmission in it. She declined, saying it was too big. My neighbor has the same year Nissan Titan with 350k miles on it and it's in just as good shape as mine was.

Thanks! She is like the pathfinder. Has 50k miles on her and is all original. I have a few more that don't get ridden as often as the yellow triumph. I was just about to drive the pathfinder down to Miami to pick up an MV Agusta Superveloce and had been saving for a few years to buy one and then this happened and had to use most of the money to get the 4Runner. Oh well, back to saving again!

    WELCOME!!!!!
I had the same issue with my Frontier. I had agreed to sell it to my gardener when it went out. I lowered the price and sold my FJ40 and my wife gave me "her" 2019 SR5 and we got her a RAV4 (both very low miles). Best car deals we ever made=paid cash from my 401(k)=i had just retired and didn't want trouble or payments.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I kinda hope for this to be like the Nissan Forum I was on. I rarely had any questions only because I never had any issues. It seems like most of my questions at the moment are more technical issues regarding why my car keeps telling me the keys aren't in it when they are. Batteries are fine in the key fob.

I see there are a few motorcycle people here. These are my other two bikes and basically, the reason I needed something to haul them around with.

Well, since you are the OP and you took the thread off topic yourself…

I used to ride a ‘95 Ducati 900ss. I had it for a couple of years before it was stolen. It was very charismatic, and I certainly enjoyed riding around on the Ferrari of motorcycles. It would always draw a crowd when I showed up at the Rock Store on a Sunday morning. But to be honest the bike I owned that preceded the Ducati was superior. It was quicker, faster, more sure footed, and more fun. Mid-‘80’s Kawasaki 900 Ninja. Getting rid of it was one of my big regrets. *sniff*

Well, it was more of an introduction thread, so it wasn't meant to really go anywhere.

Ducati has come a long way since 95. I do understand what you mean. These Ducati's are both air-cooled but with massive amounts of torque. I also have mine geared a little lower, so they take off and leave you hanging on for dear life. Again these are mid-2000 bikes. The ones they have out now are all loaded up with everything you can think of. No nanny aids (traction control, ABS, etc.) on these. Just the pure sound of an L-twin roaring through a set of Termignoni's!

Nice looking Pathfinder. I have to say, I really miss my mine but I am very happy with the 4Runner. The Pathfinder feels more like a sports car compared to the 4Runer!:)
