Sick build! I am pretty local to you in southern NH! how did you secure the aluminum boxes and out of curiosity what kind of mpgs do you get with that setup?

 

Thanks! The Zarges Boxes are u-bolted through the bottom and hook into the rack below. I’m getting about 16ish right now. I don’t usually leave the boxes and RTT on though so MPGs go up to around 17-18 with them off.

 

Looks awesome! I get 16 around town with just the gobi rack and conservative driving...

Drove by the Bonneville Salt Flats yesterday...

 

Were they too wet to drive onto this time of the year? I've been on them a couple times (last year the latest), highly recommend hitting a car wash after to get all the salt off lol

How was Manzanar?

 

Hi! This was Sunday morning on Mammoth Scenic Loop near 395. We were doing well, but there was a Dodge Durango that got beached right at the gate and we couldn’t get around. Had to backtrack and wait on 203 until 395 opened later that morning. Manzanar was dusted with snow. Never saw that before.

Thanks! We have several relatives in poor health (at least one is terminal), so we try to get down to OC and parts at least once a year. We were going to go down I-5 and then over to Victorville/Apple Valley but that is an even greater mess.
