Magnuson 5th Gen Supercharger is Complete!

I am going to get one, once my powertrain is up.

 

Wondering how much they are going to be? I'm guessing $6k...

 

I am also highly interested. If I do go for one I will probably wait about 6-12 months after release so they can work out any final bugs.

Ive read +80 hp +80 tq and initially production will be in a market testing phase to feel out demand. Another point ive read is that any warranty or repair will have to go through magnuson in some way shape or form which could be frustrating. The older TRD super chargers could be serviced by any toyota dealer. 2€

 

how many more horses did you really get have you had it dynoed yet i am really curious if it makes the horsepower they say you will get. LARRY B

 

From the other forum. Hard to weed through some of the BS but most reports are word of mouth from magnuson at FJ summit. Im curious too. I wont have the change for it anytime soon and doubt i'll ever be able to justify a super charger on a trail rig. Interesting if nothing else

 

i would really like to know before i pull the trigger on such an expensive upgrade. that is a lot of money for 70 more horsepower.

 

Yes...yes it is. 30%...ish increase was more than what a lot were guessing and many stated, if true, that was more than satisfactory for around 5500 when its all said and done

 

i was thinking of putting a gm crate motor with 400 horsepower in my older 4runner. yes i will have to do a lot of mods but i put a 350 into a vega before. that thing was bad ass.

 

People focus too much on actual peak horespower ratings...the broad torque curve from positive displacement blowers makes it sooooooooo worth it. Im looking forward to the kit and honestly its one of the two things that will make me decide on keeping my truck through 2019.
