    My wifes daily driver is a 2022 4Runner SR5 Premium with ~9500 miles. We recently had a cold snap and she had issues with indicators that indicated and sensors sensing when they shouldn't have (LDA, PCS) warnings as well as the front camera being inop.
    Is this a thing anyone here has experienced with a newer 4Runner, or is this one just 'special'?

    A pic with some evidence:

    I don't think it's because of cold weather, at least on my 2022 4Runner sensors works fine when it's been very cold, like -25C which is -13F . 28F should be nothing for a 4Runner, it's a warm winter day. I think the reason is that your front sensor got covered for good with some sort of slush or ice or just road dirt. LDA cameras are behind windshield, so if top area of windshield is clean and not fogged LDA light should be green. If cameras and sensor are clean, probably you should pay a visit to a dealer before warranty expires.

    My 4R has seen some good cold days here in Colorado but did not experience any problems;

    That usually happens when there is frozen precipitation that accumulates on the sensors. Happens on my Tundra, too.

    I failed to mention that this Runner has not yet experienced snow or ice and is kept very clean, or that the mystery is a one time thing. Will be at the dealership on Monday for its second maintenance cycle and to see if they can figure anything out. Thanks for your response.

    What we do in this part of the world to keep vehicles running at sometimes extreme cold temperatures is install a new battery every fall as well as change all driveline fluids and keep the vehicle in a dry heated garage as much as possible. Another temperature and humidity related preventative measure is to install dielectric grease on all vehicle electrical connections. This 2014 4R has worked perfectly through several -40C / -40F cold weeks here this winter.

    -20F a few weeks ago for me, no issues with my Tacoma that has all that nonsense. 4Runner luckily does not have the safety sense.

    mine is also a '22. I haven't had any of those problems with mine but my BMW lights would come on when it got really cold.upload_2023-2-19_13-31-1.jpg
