    All,

Would appreciate any help on the front dash speakers regarding crossover. I understand the front dash and door speakers are wired in parallel. I am confused as to where the inline crossover ("bass blocker") is physically located in the set-up.

I recently picked up an "open box" return of some DS-18 tweeters (these are basically the same as the Kicker tweeters that many install in the Tacomas and 4Runners) and are a "drop-in" replacement with a similar Toyota/Subaru plug on the back as the factory 2-3/4" that came out.

As this was an "open box" return (bought from DS-18's ebay store) they cost just $50 and I am pleased with them. As I dug into the wiring details (parallel in the front, series in the rear) I am curious where the inline crossover is located. I admittedly haphazardly just swapped them out without giving much thought to the location until a few weeks later as I started to get the bug to do a full system upgrade and started reading up on details.

I have not blown the tweeters and they sound so much better (and it has been a few weeks running them) so just wanting to put this to rest and figure out if the crossover is in the wiring or the plug?

The factory HF filter capacitor is mounted directly to the dashboard speakers.

Thanks. I looked at the tweeter and see it. Man is it tiny!
