    Q. Weight of 2014 FJ Cruiser Steel Wheel?
    A. 29-30lbs. Thanks @hossler1788

*This threads original purpose was to find the answer to the question above, which was done in short order.

I've now got some other questions as I start to further the search for 17" wheels to replace the OEM 20s that came on my new-to-me '16 AWD Limited 4Runner. Yes, I have been and will continue to read what my searches lead me to.

    1. How does the 2014 FJ Cruiser steel wheel compare to a TRD Offroad wheel for this application? The reason that I ask is that there are some available a few hours away. Looking at the sellers pictures, I thought that they were alloy but a quick spec search mentioned steel wheels for that year FJ Cruiser.

    2. Knowing that weight isn't the main concern, I'd still like to know the weights of the OEM options. I've read that the wheel from the Offroad trim level is lighter than some of the other ones. A gentle nudge to the info source(s) will work while I still work to locate it myself.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Offroad usage will be trails, fire roads, beaches, rambling, etc. At this point, I plan to run Michelin Defenders on the 17s in stock or close to stock size as they've served me well with assorted SUVs, trucks & cars. I'm very open to other suggestions as well as the current tires have plenty of life remaining.

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Trd pro wheels-25lbs
Sr5 wheels and trd offroad 27+ lbs

No problem... i like steel wheels, they are cheap, strong, basic. I even think they are more appealing then the trd pro wheels.. here's a link to a guy that sells takeoff oem steel wheels.

I bought a few steel wheels that were spares, $50 each with tires. You just have to make sure you get the same width. They come in 7.5” and 7”.

I picked one up for the 17 inch spare wheel on my Tacoma running the 4runner SEMA pro wheels.

Best TRD wheel for 5th gens is the Rock Warrior (IMO of course). Light weight and stellar looks.
