I hadn’t noticed the dimming issue with my original mounting position (circled in red, still have to remove that stuck in mount). I ended up moving it because I wasn’t capturing enough of the passenger side.

I wish I could move it up just a bit, as I can see the red light when I drive … annoys me. I have some OCD issues.

Just curious - what is the point of having a camera? To protect oneself in case of an accident? Any other uses? Thanks!

How wide angle is your camera?

I mounted mine on the passenger side (with slight angle to the center). It's wide angle enough it pretty much captures everything on both sides.

I am the same, I wanted to completely hide mine so I don't see any lights or anything from my POV as a driver. It has worked well so far.

That's my primary goal. I've heard horror stories about people lying when they were at fault and I would jsut rather not have to deal with it. If you're not at fault you just provide the footage to the insurance and so the other party cant even put a small amount of blame on you.

As a bonus, if I drive somewhere nice or see something cool on road and/or off road I can save the footage and keep it.

Luckily, I was able to get out today to go the bank and Wally World. But still covered in ice. Took a few mins to get ice melted. I really need to invest in a remote start. But for now, doing it the old fashioned way.

At first I was wondering what the big deal was. Then I saw you're from Texas. It's doing it again this year? Sheesh.

I'd say I'd be driving if my 4Runner looked like that, but I'd be worried enough about your roads that I wouldn't chance it. It's like this one town up my way that doesn't do enough to their roads in the winter. People bitch and moan about the salt and stuff they put on the roads, but if you spend an hour in that town on an icy day and survive, you'll get it.

Oy, some stuff that I actually did. I only did internet shopping, but I did it.

LFD integrated wind fairing crossbar and the double wide for the rear, both in stainless steel
A couple two gallon Rotopax rev 2 water containers
Rotopax deluxe nonlocking mount for the double wide crossbar
Rotopax mount extension for the two water containers
A couple of ARB soft shackles
    ARB winch/recovery strap damper

I already have most of the other equipment I'd have to use with the ARB stuff. I'm getting my stuff slowly. I think this gets me to full usable and safe usage of the kinetic strap that I got in the past, though I don't have all of the odds and ends for doing everything that could be done.

I had a dream where I was driving my 4Runner on some dirt and rolled it but took zero damage. The dream first person view camera zoomed out to show my 4Runner roll, and I could see it was solid as a rock. It also landed on its wheels, and the airbags didn't go off. I was able to keep on driving. Then I saw a cop car over on the pavement getting ready to give me a ticket or something, but the cop car was navigating back and forth like a glitchy video game. Then I woke up because I had to go pee.

I wasn’t going to bother. However, since getting the 4Runner and driving a much slower pace to get up to speed, and sticking to the speed limit when I do get there, I seem to notice a lot more risky behaviour. I’ve had more than a couple of close calls, which made me order and install one. I will say though, I have less people (except bigger pickup trucks) driving up my a$$, but do have a lot more people cutting in front of me. For context, I do not sit in the passing lane when not passing, and try and stick to the middle lane or the curb lane understanding I’m a granny mobile now. Additionally context, I also live in an area heavily populated by Indians who have a different mentality of driving from their homeland (“I worry about what’s in front of me, let the person behind me worry about what I do since I’m in front of them”).

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

Anyone else having problems posting in classifieds? Never have had an issue but keeps telling me to add a valid title. Anyway, dropping this here for now until I figure it out!

Since I sold my 2021 TRD Pro, I still have these lightly used Canvasback. This is is you have a sliding tray if you want an exact fit. May fit others without but do your own search on that.

I am attaching my ebay listing so I don't have to go back and upload all the pics again but message me if you have any questions!

I'll do cheaper on the forums than my ebay listing or feel free to offer/buy through ebay for the additional buyer protection. Just message me and we can negotiate that way!

Domino’d a simple problem into a bigger one. After rotating my tires, on 1 lug I didn’t thread it on by hand before hitting it with the uggdugg and stripped the stud. Had to go get a new stud and lug. After replacing the lug, while putting on the caliper, I stripped the guide pin and will now have to replace the caliper. Looks to be a simple but costly job. All because I didn’t want to do something the right way the first time.
