Hi and welcome. What did you buy the 4runner for? What are your big plans? Let's find out what you want to do and we can go from there.

How you want to use it dictates what mods you would want / need.

    More details needed.

Definitely bought the car for more camping and mild off-roading trips and at the same time want to make it look badass

As for looks. I'd recommend some all terrain tires, preferably 265/70/r17, as those do not require a lift. There's a few really good choices in tires that shouldn't break the bank, and you can slap right on your factory rims. I run Falken Wildpeaks, many others run BFG KO2s, both excellent.

Mild offroading? I'd recommend sliders or skids, or both. ARB sells a set of 1/8" skids on Pelfreybilt's website for about $450 bucks. THey aren't as beef as full on rock crawling, but much better than the OEM skids and aren't very heavy to boot.

Sliders, well there's a ton of information, but essentially sliders replace your running boards and are made to handle an impact to a rock. Running boards are not.

Lots of people will recommend roof racks, and while they have a great wowfactor, making your rig look tough, they aren't really all that useful if you don't want to put stuff up there due to wind, noise, and loss of MPG due to much more drag. Don't get me wrong, they are nice, and look awesome, but pretty expensive for an early mod.

If you're interested in lifts, there's a good amount of options as long as you keep it around 2" or so. Going higher is a lot more costly. I don't recommend spacer lifts, Bilsteins aren't that much more and the ride is extremely improved over stock IMO.

3" lift but mostly all stock not a scratch on it it is pristine condition amazing for being 19 years old.
definitely do not go any higher than 3" it's kinda a unwritten rule for 4runners if you go any higher than 3" you will wear out your suspension parts prematurely not to mention the ride quality LARRY B.

Get some good weather mats to protect your rig from outside elements..
Get good tires if you care to swap your current one even if its still good..
Do not lift yet until you are certain that is the way to go, take your rig to certain areas and see if you can get through it without a lift.. Lift are usually because they want to go to harder terrains..
Stick to factory tire size until you want to get a lift and bigger tires with nicer rims..
Learn the rigs dynamics.. Its capable of alot of things without doing so much..

Upgrade your interior lights to LEDs. Went through the walkthrough @jester243 wrote and ordered the LEDs from @csjumper2003 over on the tacomaworld forums, huge upgrade for about 30 minutes of effort.
