    Hello,

I am new to 4Runners.com. I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4wd Automatic. Couple of weeks ago my beloved 4Runner developed a engine vibration which I diagnosed as engine "mis-fire". It shakes the entire truck. The shake would level out after 5 min or so. I assumed it was a coil issue. I replaced the plugs, wires, and all 3 coils. Did not fix. Had the codes read which indicated 02 sensor issue and a knock sensor reading. The upstream sensor was definitely bad as there was no continunity reading across the black wires. I replaced both o2 sensors (one is a fuel ratio sensor). Both were Denso brand (Denso 234-9002 upstream and Denso 234-4153 downstream). I believe this helped some. Still runs rougher than normal when cold but better after 5 minutes of warmup with slight vibration. With no further codes to read and with limited engine knowledge I have reached the end of what I know to investigate. Just wondering if you guys might have some suggestions before I take it to the local shop.

    Thanks for listening.
    John

I'm calling a bad injector for the rough running start.

If your new coil packs are not TOYOTA ones, I'd keep the old ones around as they are probably better. Everyone is so quick to replace coil packs and it never seems to be the answer for a Toyota.
