Wheel alignment then warning light

    Last year I got a wheel on my 2011 Toyota 4Runner sr5 after the wheel alignment was done an warning code 1290 showed up and a warning indicator is steady on I want to get rid of this warning light can someone please give me advice on how to remove this problem or get it fix there’s a photo below of the light

    Steering angle position error. Trip to dealership for a reset/update will correct issue.

    Your alignment must of been crazy off to cause this error.

    I’m trying to avoid the dealer ship there crazy expensive give or take how much a trip to Toyota for that little problem

    I did brother and I told him what’s going on he said every time he’s gives 5th gen 4Runners and even the Lexus suvs they get the indication light

    that BS! Also is that a traction control light appearing. Did the damage the ABS speed sensor wire upfront somewhere? I have a 2011 & 2022 and never had that light come on after several alighments.

    Is your steering wheel centered when you drive straight? If so, do you get the same number of turns to full lock turning left as you do turning right? If you do, then just disconnect the battery negative cable, wait a few minutes, then re-connect it to reset the zero point stored in the stability control ECU memory.

    The first time you start the engine after battery disconnection, the engine may stumble and die. Restart and everything should be back to normal. Depending on how far north you are, you'll also need to re-enter your compass region number or the compass may deviate.

    Yup did all that brother and still have that warning the wheel alignment guy must of damaged something for that light to come on i really don't want to go to the dealer ship but im gonna put up a post if any Toyota technician put give me the hook up

    Nope nothing I even tried the recalibration with the paper clips in the ecu ports and nothing still the same shit
