I’m curious why you decided not to keep it?

I really found no use for it as I mainly drive in the city to and from work so I don’t need that extra throttle response

Sounds good, I’ve never tried one. I’m actually fine with the stock configuration. Thanks for the reply.

Doesn't the extra throttle equate to more gas consumption.
    Just curious.

    Here's my take on this:
    1. Price is very good. If the unit is not registered, or can be registered on a new account, it's worth to buy it, new is 299 on Amazon.
    2. I've watched this video and I decided to buy it.
    https://youtu.be/bVgR24aqvAk
    3. It's not a gimmick, but definitely not a "must have". I drive in "city+2" mode and I did notice 0.5-1 mpg better fuel mileage, which I believe is real. What I have noticed is that not only the throttle response is more aggressive, but it feels like the butterfly opens instantly, rather that with a slight lag, like in stock calibration - which would explain the small mileage improvement, since that will reduce downshift or unlocking the TC in some situations when you press the acceleration a specific amount, it takes a bit for the intake plate/butterfly to open/react, then you need to press more since you're losing speed. The torque converter unlocks much sooner (in both 4th and 5th) when you press the acceleration similarly to how is in stock - obviously due to the new calibration.
    4. You need to readjust the way you press the acceleration pedal, since you can spin the wheels quite easy, especially in off-road mode in 4 low or wet conditions.
    5. Eco mode sucks. City mode is where you need to be.
    6. Overall I would recommend it, but definitely not like a must have, rather a nice have. It definitely makes the acceleration feel more linear and overall, makes the vehicle more pleasant to drive. I only got it due to watching that YouTube video, thinking to return it if I don't like it.

20 miles wasn't much of a trial period. Sounds like you had buyer's remorse before you even installed it.

I had the sprint booster on my 3rd Gen Taco and by far the best money spent. 4R is tuned. And i know they are different drivetrains but same concept. Especially if all you care about is the pedal lag being gone and everything else is to your liking, then just go with pedal commander.
