Something about a clean white vehicle, at least for now.

Trust me car manufacturers would not just give this away if it wasn't preferred. Since we are at the end of this generation of 4R's I can see why they did not want to change the signal assembly. Why I like it is: hit the signal and then continue to focus on the traffic to make the change. I agree there are a lot of butts out there that can't drive and don't signal at all which drive in front of me at your on risk if you want to change lanes :).

Crossbar Install: 30 min. I think I bought this thing to mod it.

Hey Backslider, That's how my canoe sat so I'm still messing around with different positions trying to get it more forward. I like the pool noodle idea! I'm using foam pipe insulation. Have fun!

I've had my 4Runner just a couple weeks and so far all is good. I really like the driving position compared to a previous Jeep Grand Cherokee. It feels much more substantial and powerful. I love the sound when I start it up. Definitely has a truck ride, which is not a bad thing. KDSS smooths things out a bit on the road. The softex interior is great and not anywhere near as hot as previous black leather interiors I have owned. I am a fan of the big knobs, dials, and buttons on the infotainment system. So far so good!

I unfortunately can't explain it any better. Once you get the first one then it makes sense.

Here is photo from where I removed mine. You will see the seam of where it comes apart. You must wedge it out either by rolling outboard force with hands or with a small screwdriver so that you can roll it outboard easier. It's going pop a little when it comes off but you have to get the inner side out a little with a thin flat blade screw driver. Hope this helps.

The main one is from a Scion, and the transfer case was from core shifters, and I painted it to match.

El Mamito USMC ... There is no such thing as "Marine Proof" as there is no such thing as "Tanker Proof" We in the Armor community consider a 25 LB sledgehammer a PRECISION tool. Nice rig by the way! While the other services worry about..."PSI".."TORQUE"..."SPEC"... You and I always worried about...How long will it hold...How long before it falls off... Will anyone notice... If you are interested I have a pair of black cross members I'm selling.

fter the break in I have not taken pity on it AND it has performed! Some words of advice!? AS soon as you buy/order your 4Runner...Order an aftermarket roof rack. Then think about the suspension upgrade.

Well I'm supposed to get the 4Runner back this Wednesday. I found out on Friday they are blending the paint around the corners on it. I wasn't too happy they were painting onto the body, but he said that's the only way to get a correct blend. Said it wouldn't look good just stopping at a body line and only doing the liftgate. They replaced everything and the new liftgate and hinges mated up much better than the old parts the other two shops kept trying to reuse. Fingers crossed it's finally good and fixed correctly.

Thanks, yeah I was leaning towards Shrockworks because its the cheapest out of the 3 good products. I was debating between C4Fab, pelfreybuilt, and shrockworks and they are all pretty similar with slightly different style and I'm sure C4fab has the best quality out of them but the money just doesn't feel right. Shrockworks still looks great and now I saw yours....going to go ahead and do the comparisons between shrockworks and tyger sliders! Thanks for the link

These are NOT sliders. Nothing more than steps. They can't be used as sliders, they just bolt to the body same as the stock steps. Sliders bolt to the frame. They look good but certainly will not support the weight of our trucks against a rock. I have the same ones.

I literally just noticed that right after I submitted the reply as I said I am going to go ahead and do the comparisons! So yes you're right about that. I am still interested as I am not doing any extreme off roading, there is not much to do in New England. The sliders are really cool.. I just really love the quality, the toughness, the looks and how it's not bagged down to the ground. I would never get running boards. So looking at this Tyger product, it's got good reviews and it is a sliders look-a-like. It could be reasonable for me so it's good to keep a eye on this product if I decided not to spend more money on shrockworks.

They're ok, build quality seems good though. I personally don't like steps at all, I don't need them. My wife and kids however need something lol this is where I settled to keep everyone happy. They just stick out so far.

Finally got them on today. Super stoked to fit X5 33" tires in the back of the 4Runner before install. Fit four 255/80r17 between wheel well perfectly, plus room for spare with seats folded down.
