Hi folks — I’ve posted here about replacing my 20” stock rims and Yokohama tires recently on my 2022 4R TRD Sport with 17” TRD Pro rims and 265/70/17 KO2’s. Should I add mud flaps? Pros and cons, and costs?

Yes, I would add them for a little protection. Since you are planning on putting on KO2s do you plan on putting any rock sliders on? I ask this because KO2s catch a lot of rocks and will save your ass down the road depending on if you plan on taking it off road at all.

thank you. The KO2’s are on the vehicle now. I don’t plan to do a lot of off-road and I don’t have skid plates yet. The TRD Sport I purchased came with retractable running-boards. At some point I intend to put rock sliders on them.

Stone ejection is done on purpose by tire manufactures to protect the tire right?
