    Hi all - new member here. I recently got a 2023 4runner SR5. Loving it so far, especially the build quality and the hopeful reliability. I’ve came from ram trucks and jeeps and was happy to see zero imperfections in the paint and fit and finish from the factory.
    I’ve done a few mods already, unfortunately including my first cracked windshield at 2,500 miles. Getting that replaced Wednesday. Anyone have experience with safelite?

    also, I have my sr5 wheel take offs for sale if anyone is interested. They only have 50 miles on them. Also have the stock LED fog lights for sale, they have clear self-healing paint protection film on them. Give me a call or text at 6109842862 if anyone is interested!     The 4R is a solid vehicle. Safelite has been around for years and the top choice preferred by insurance companies. Nothing to worry about there.

    Congratulations on your new 4Runner.

    As for the windshield shield I really dislike Safelite generic brand windshield. It had a name starting with "F" something.. It leaves a mark on every tiniest dirt or chip hits the glass. Original Toyota glass was much stronger against tiny chips. If Safelite can install Original Toyota glass with Toyota mark onnthe glass and can perform Toyota safety sense recalibration I have no problem doing the install at Safelite. I just dislike their own glass.

    Thanks! All that’s really left is to get the blackout emblems, and maybe upgrade the sound system in time.

    I got hit with something from a truck in front of me… it actually hit the hood first, right after where my PPF stops lol, and then hit the windshield. I got the ding out of the hood from a PDR guy, luckily just a clearcoat scratch from it.

    Thank you. Appreciate that about safelite, I never worked with them and didn’t know that. I’ll definitely ask about Toyota glass before they do the install, and the safety sense recalibration. Didn’t even think about that
