New Here/Old Everywhere Else

Been without my '00 SR5 for 14yrs and looking to get back into one. I'm hoping to get some good research done here and then see what the marketplace holds.

Welcome. I too recently bought another after not having one since the mid 90’s. I picked up a pre owned 2018 Limited with 31,000 on the clock back in May 2022.

I Had a 1992 SR5 4 runner and a 1991 SR5 pickup at the same time. Both with the 3.0 if I recall correctly. I loved the pickup as it was a 5 speed and had some pep. The 4Runner was auto and the biggest slug I’ve ever owned. Couldn’t pull a drunk outta bed but I still liked it. I missed the utility and reliability aspect and been wanting another since. The 4.0 is much better. Good luck with your search.

Keith, I just got back into one too! I sold my 1984 1/2 in 1986 and just bought a 2023. Zero DNA from the original.

Dunno if it does it for you, but I myself have been digging the 40th Anniversary Edition. My wife really likes it too, alas she said I was cookoo for considering a third car

I tried to tell her, it's not so much a third car as a spare 4Runner. Did. Not. Work.

 

I'm sure you know that it is always easier to ask for forgiveness rather than asking for permission!

Has worked many times for me... Oh, and puppy dog eyes!

Ended up getting into a very clean, Gray '16 4WD Limited last week. All is well so far.
